GameCup ("GameCup", "we", "us") is a platform of classic table and card games with optional social features, operated by OXS Bilişim. This policy explains what data we collect, why, and the choices you have. It applies to the GameCup website (gamecup.io) and the GameCup mobile app.
Information we collect
You can play as a guest without an account. If you create an account or use social features, we may collect:
- Account data — email address (email one-time code or Google sign-in), display name/username, avatar, and optionally birth date/age, gender, city, languages, and a short bio.
- Content you create — profile photos you upload, chat and direct messages, and in-game user content.
- Approximate location — used only to power the optional "discover" feature (finding nearby players). You can avoid this by not using discover.
- Purchases — a record of your in-app purchases (chip packs and GameCup Premium). Payments are processed by Apple, Google, or Dodo Payments; we never receive or store your card details.
- Device & advertising data — through Google AdMob, a device advertising identifier and information about ads shown, used to serve and measure ads.
- Usage & diagnostics — basic interaction and technical data needed to run the service and keep it secure. In the mobile app this is measured with Google Analytics for Firebase.
How we use your data
- Provide the games, matchmaking, accounts, leaderboards, and social features.
- Process in-app purchases and grant virtual chips / Premium.
- Show and measure advertising.
- Moderate chat and enforce our rules (profanity filtering, blocking, reports).
- Keep the service secure and prevent fraud and abuse.
- Respond to your support requests.
How we share your data
We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with service providers acting on our behalf, and where required by law:
- Apple & Google — in-app purchases and, via RevenueCat, purchase validation.
- Dodo Payments — payments on the web.
- Google AdMob — advertising.
- Google Analytics for Firebase — product analytics in the mobile app (which screens and features are used).
- LiveKit (self-hosted) — real-time voice chat, which is streamed live and not recorded.
- A translation provider, if you use in-chat translation.
Virtual chips
Chips are a virtual, in-app item with no monetary value. They are for entertainment inside GameCup only and can never be exchanged, redeemed, or cashed out for real money. Purchased chips never affect ranking or matchmaking.
Advertising & tracking
We use Google AdMob to show ads in the mobile app. We do not ask for permission to track you across other companies' apps and websites, and we do not do so: on iOS the app shows no App Tracking Transparency prompt, so no advertising identifier is available to us and ads are non-personalized. On Android, ads may be personalized according to your Google account and device settings. You can reset or limit your advertising identifier in your device settings at any time.
Data retention
We keep account data while your account is active. In-flight game state is ephemeral and expires automatically. When you delete your account, we delete or anonymize your personal data, except where we must retain limited records (e.g., purchase records) to meet legal obligations.
Your rights & choices
- Delete your account — you can permanently delete your account and associated personal data from within the app (Settings → Account), or by contacting us.
- Access, correct, or export your data by contacting us.
- Control ads and tracking through your device settings.
- Set profile visibility and "show online" preferences in the app.
Children
GameCup is not directed to children and is rated for mature audiences. Do not use GameCup if you are under the age required by the app's store rating in your region.
International transfers
Your data may be processed in countries other than your own; we take steps to protect it wherever it is processed.
Changes
We may update this policy; we will change the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the app.
